Courses

Experienced researchers and practitioners will have the opportunity to present courses during the INTERACT 2027 conference. Courses may cover any aspect of human-computer Interaction. Courses reflective of local needs and perspectives are encouraged.

Courses are invited on any of the conference themes and topics (please consult the lists on the Full Paper and Short Paper pages)

• Submission: 03 May 2027, 23:59 (anywhere on earth).
• Notification of acceptance: 25 May 2027
• Camera-Ready: 07 June 2027, 23:59 (anywhere on earth)

• Reviewing process: curated by the CoChairs
• Anonymous submission: No
• Length: 4 page Course Abstract in Springer LNCS format, + 2 pages additional information (see section Preparing a Course Submission)  
• Online Submission: PCS Submission System
• Maximum total upload size: 300 MB, including all submission files 
• Proceedings: Springer LNCS Series

The course proposal shall include:

• A four-page abstract for the advanced programme including title of the course, learning objectives of the course, content of the course, duration of the course (3 hours max – 2 sessions), intended audience, and reading list (literature) that is suggested for the course. This abstract will be published in the conference proceedings in Springer LNCS Series.
• A two-page document on additional information including the background of the tutor(s), description of the pedagogical concept, etc.

Course Abstracts should be formatted according to Springer LNCS format. Authors should consult the Springer Authors’ guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, to prepare their papers. Springer proceedings LaTeX templates are also available in Overleaf.

The Conference Organizers will provide projectors and projection screens in each room. If any additional resources are required, this must be indicated in the proposal.

A free conference registration is granted to one of the course organisers if more than 10 participants are duly registered for the course.

• Balancing of courses for all audiences (beginners, advanced, research-oriented, practitioner-oriented, etc.)
• Courses focusing on all stages of the (user-centered) design and development process
• Quality of the submission
